APOSTLE DR. KWADWO SARFO DONATES 10000 GHANA CEDIS TO DOVVSU
A Philanthropist, Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Sarfo has donated an amount of 10000 Ghana cedis to the Domestic violence and Victims Support Unit of the Ghana Police Service.
The donation was made by Israel Kwadwo Sarfo Junior, the eldest son of Apostle Sarfo and supported by two members of the Christo Asafo Church; Mr. Emmanuel Boakye and Dr. Stephen Oduro at the Police Headquarters on 1/1/2010.
Mr. Sarfo Jnr. In a brief remarks said ‘‘the work of DOVVSU is synonymous to that of our church because they also have a primary aim of seeking the welfare of society’’
He continued saying the police is a friend to all and that what they have done today is just one of the many things to come.
Mr. Sarfo Jnr. Concluded by praising the Police for the good work they are doing and promised to support when the need arise.
The Director General Service, DCOP/Mr Anko-Bil who received the cash donation on behalf of DOVVSU thanked Apostle Sarfo and the church for the cash donation towards the building project of the unit.
Mr. Anko-Bil said the DOVVSU secretariat, if completed would go a long way to help the unit in the discharge of their duties.
“It is within the plans of DOVVSU that it’s offices across the country will be networked so as to speed up the work of the the unit” he added.
Mr. Anko-Bil concluded by thanking Apostle Kwadwo Sarfo for the cash donation and appealed to other philanthropists, individuals and all Ghanaians to emulate such example.
