HOT FM DONATES TO HIGHWAY PATROL OF THE POLICE SERVICE : Hot Fm, an Accra based radio station donated some assorted items to the Highway Patrol Unit of the Police service at the police headquarters on Friday, 20th November 2009 to help them perform their duties.
The items which included 13 pieces of reflector vests, 500 packs of Yazz washing powder, Yazz tooth paste, Yazz T-shirts and boxes of African mackerel were donated by the General Manager of Hot Fm, Mr. Adakabre Frimpong Manso on behalf of the station.
Mr. Adakabre, speaking during the presentation expressed satisfaction about the performance of the Highway Patrol teams and stated that the Police are now on top of their job.
He added that the Police, especially the Highway Patrols are performing well, and that is why his outfit decided to present the items to them.
On his part, Director-General of Police Operations, DCOP Mr. John Kudalor, who received the items on behalf of the Highway Patrol Unit thanked Adakabre and Hot Fm for the kind gesture.
He said that it showed that the public, especially Hot Fm has recognized the good work of the Police and that the donation would go a long way to boost the morale of the Police.
Mr. Kudalor concluded that the donation came at the right time ‘because as we are approaching Christmas, visibility is poor and the vests will help prevent accident. He called on other organizations and philanthropists to emulate such kind gesture.
