National Headquarters
The INSPECTOR-GENERAL OF POLICE (IGP) is assisted in the day-to-day administration and operation of the Service by the Headquarters Management Advisory Board (HEMAB) chaired by the DEPUTY INSPECTOR-GENERAL OF POLICE.
All Police functions, organisation, personnel management and welfare have been divided into eleven (11) SCHEDULES with each schedule under the Command of a Director-General.
The schedules are:

- HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT(HRD)
- WELFARE
- CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION DEPARTMENT (CID)
- RESEARCH, PLANNING AND ICT
- LEGAL

- PROFESSIONAL INTELLIGENCE AND STANDARDS BUREAU (PIPS)
The CHIEF STAFF OFFICER (CSO) is responsible for the administration of the National Headquarters and is the Secretary of HEMAB
